How SkinPair works

Every coin here is paired with a CSGO skin. Creator fees are used to buy the skin. This page covers launching a coin, where its fees go and how the skin gets bought. Every percentage on it is read from the live settings.

#What SkinPair is

Every coin on SkinPair is paired with a CSGO skin. It is a CSGO skin launchpad: you launch a pump.fun coin on Solana, paired to a real skin, and Dota 2 items work too. Creator fees are used to buy the skin: the fees from every trade of the coin are saved for it, and when the savings cover its price, we buy the skin and hold it in our Steam account.

#Launch a coin

A launch is a few taps. Everything the site can fill in is filled in for you.

On a computer

  1. Open Launch a coin and pick a skin. Type any words from its name, or filter by weapon type, wear and grade.
  2. Pick a coin image. Each one is drawn from the skin's art, and the first is chosen for you.
  3. Check the name and ticker. Both come filled in from the skin, and you can change them.
  4. Add links and a first buy if you want them. Both are optional; a first buy can be up to 10 SOL.
  5. Connect your wallet and press Launch. Your wallet asks once to approve the whole launch.
  6. When it lands you get the contract address with a copy button, the pump.fun link and a button to share it on X.

On a phone

  1. Open the site in your phone's browser and pick a skin the same way.
  2. Tap Connect wallet. On Android, choose Wallet on this phone. On iPhone, choose Phantom or Solflare: the app opens, you approve, and it sends you back with the form as you left it.
  3. Tap Launch. The wallet app opens once more to approve, then sends you back while the launch is checked and sent.
  4. Browsing inside Phantom, Solflare or Backpack already? The wallet is found by itself and connects in one tap.

Connecting signs nothing and sends nothing. The site builds the launch and simulates it on Solana first; your wallet shows exactly what it will sign, and nothing reaches the chain until you approve. A built launch stays ready to approve for 15 minutes.

#Where every fee goes

pump.fun takes a fee on every trade and pays part of it to the coin's creator. pump.fun sets that rate. On SkinPair, every coin's creator fee is split on chain the moment it launches. The split pays:

Saved toward that skin
90%
Saved toward the next big skin
10%
The coin's creator
0%
  • The big skin share is a platform setting between 0% and 50%. It is 10% today. The rest saves toward the coin's own skin.
  • A coin's split is fixed when it launches. Changing the setting later only affects coins launched after.
  • The fees collect in the dev wallet, GTVNWZu1L51hxVjUGnfx3MWJ1dTCi5jzMrrA6i8dgg4d. Every fee and every purchase is recorded against the skin it belongs to.
  • The creator's share is always 0%. Launching a coin earns its creator nothing from fees.
  • A launch costs about 0.03 SOL in Solana network costs, plus your first buy if you set one. SkinPair charges nothing on top.

#How a skin gets bought

Any number of coins can pair to the same skin. All of their fees save toward it, and the money saved for a skin is only spent on that skin. Skins are bought on Waxpeer, a skin marketplace.

  1. 1Someone trades the coinon pump.fun
  2. 2A creator fee is paid90% of it saves toward the skin
  3. 3The savings growuntil they cover the skin's price
  4. 4We buy it on Waxpeerand the seller sends it to our Steam account
  • The amount to save is the skin's live price from Skinport or the Steam Community Market.
  • When a skin's savings cover its price, the site buys the cheapest real listing of that exact skin on Waxpeer automatically. The seller then sends it to our Steam account in a Steam trade.
  • If the cheapest listing costs more than the savings, the buy waits until the savings catch up or a cheaper listing appears.
  • If an automatic buy can't go through, someone buys the skin by hand on Waxpeer the same way, and it is recorded the same way.
  • The price paid comes out of the savings, and saving carries on toward the next copy.

#Where the skins are held

Every skin bought so far is listed on Bought skins, whether it was bought automatically or by hand. Each one is held in our public Steam account, which anyone can open.

Skins in our Steam account checks every bought skin against the public Steam inventory every hour. It checks that each skin is still there and is the item we say it is, and shows the exact float and pattern Steam reports for it.

#Big skins we are saving for

10% of every creator fee on SkinPair, from every coin, saves toward a list of big, rare skins. One coin alone would take a long time to reach them. We buy them one at a time, in order, on Waxpeer the same way. They are held in the same Steam account and show on the same check page.

#Reading the numbers

Saved

How much of one copy of the skin its fees have saved, as a share of the skin's live price. Every skin is measured against its own price, so a cheap skin and a rare knife compare fairly. At 100% the skin can be bought.

62%
Example: 62% of the skin's price saved.

Bought

How many copies of the skin have been bought so far. After a buy, saving starts again toward the next copy, so Saved goes back down while Bought goes up.

The float bar

Every CS2 skin has a float between 0 and 1 that sets how worn it looks. The bar draws the five wear bands at their true widths, lights the skin's own band, and hatches any float that skin can never have.

Field-Tested0.15 to 0.38

This skin only drops between 0.06 and 0.80. Hatched floats never occur on it.

WearShortFloat
Factory NewFN0.00 to 0.07
Minimal WearMW0.07 to 0.15
Field-TestedFT0.15 to 0.38
Well-WornWW0.38 to 0.45
Battle-ScarredBS0.45 to 1.00
Example: a Field-Tested skin that only drops between 0.06 and 0.80.

#Questions

Does the person who launches a coin get its fees?
No. The creator's share is 0%, and the split is written into the coin on chain when it launches, so nobody can change it later.
Is a coin worth one skin?
No. A coin trades freely on pump.fun at whatever price its buyers and sellers set. The skin's price only sets how much the fees must save to buy one copy.
If I hold a coin, do I own the skin?
Holding a coin gives no claim on the skin. SkinPair owns it, holds it in our Steam account, and anyone can check that it is there.
What does a launch cost?
About 0.03 SOL in network costs, plus your first buy if you set one. SkinPair charges nothing on top.
Can two coins pair to the same skin?
Yes. Both save toward the same skin, and every trade of either coin adds to it.
What happens after a skin is bought?
The price comes out of its savings, and saving carries on toward the next copy.
Which wallets work?
Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and other Solana wallets on a computer. On a phone: Phantom and Solflare from any browser, any wallet app on Android, or the browser inside your wallet app.
Is anything sent before I approve?
No. The launch is built and simulated first, and nothing reaches Solana until your wallet approves it.
Where do the prices come from?
Skinport's live market and the Steam Community Market, refreshed through the day.
Where are the skins bought?
On Waxpeer. Once a skin's savings cover its price, the site buys the cheapest listing of that exact skin and the seller sends it to our Steam account.
What if the automatic buy fails?
Someone buys the skin by hand on Waxpeer instead. It is recorded the same way, shows on Bought skins the same way and is checked against our Steam account the same way.
Can I launch on a Dota 2 item?
Yes, on any Dota 2 wearable that has a live price.
What is a dry run?
Until launches open, the site runs every step and checks every signature, then stops before anything is sent. No coin is created.

#Risks

  • Coins are speculative. Their price can fall to zero, and you can lose everything you put in.
  • Skin prices move with the CS2 and Dota 2 markets. A skin can get cheaper or dearer while fees save toward it, which changes when it can be bought.
  • A skin is bought only once its savings cover the price. A coin with little trading may never get there.
  • A Waxpeer seller can fail to send a skin. The buy is then cancelled and refunded to our Waxpeer balance, and the skin is bought again.
  • SkinPair depends on pump.fun, Solana, Steam and the skin marketplaces. Any of them can have outages or change their rules.
  • Nothing on this site is financial advice.
